About Amber Multi

Who is Amber Multi?

Amber Multi is a UK-based services group that builds professional websites and web-based apps for small businesses, churches, consultants, service providers, and organisations internationally. Our IT Solutions division operates a structured, fully online build process — written-only workflow, fixed pricing, predictable delivery.

What services do you offer?

Three things: a fixed-price £250 business website, custom web apps from £1,500, and bespoke quotes for projects that don't fit either category. Every project follows the same structured online workflow.

Where are you based?

Amber Multi is a UK-based services company operating internationally. We work with clients from different countries through the same structured online process. All pricing is in GBP and reflects our UK operational standards.

Do you work with international clients?

Yes. Amber Multi works with clients from anywhere. All pricing is in GBP, all communication is in written English through our online process, and our operational standards are the same regardless of location.

How long have you been doing this?

The Amber Royal Multi group has been operating since 2009 across multiple sectors; Amber Multi UK Ltd is its UK branch, registered in England and Wales. This platform is the group's productised web division — and every review we publish here will come from a real, delivered project.

Pricing

How much does a website cost?

£250 to build, paid once, plus £50 for the first year of hosting — £300 in total at the start. Hosting renews automatically at £50/year from year 2, with a reminder sent 28 days in advance and easy cancellation from your dashboard.

How much does a web app cost?

Web apps start from £1,500. As you choose your app type and features in the Web App form, you see a fixed price build live — and if it fits our standard shapes, you can pay and start straight away. Every app includes the essentials — accounts, uploads, reviews, notifications — at no extra cost. Only very large or unusual projects go to a tailored fixed-price quote, within 5 working days.

Why do you charge £50/year for hosting?

Hosting keeps your website online: secure servers and SSL certificates, platform-level backups and recovery, security and software updates, and the systems that run your contact form and admin panel. £50/year is well below typical agency hosting pricing.

Is the price the same for all websites regardless of size?

Yes. £250 is the price for any standard business website, regardless of how many pages you need (subject to fair use). The price changes only when the type of project changes — user logins, online payments, or customer dashboards make it a Web App, quoted separately.

Can I pay in instalments?

No. The £300 is paid in full at the end of the intake form, before the build begins. This keeps the process simple and prices low.

Do you offer discounts?

No. £250 is already significantly below market rate for a professionally built website — discounting it further isn't sustainable.

Are there hidden fees?

No. Your only fees are £300 at the start and £50/year hosting from year 2 onwards. Optional extras — like our £40/year domain and email add-on — are exactly that: optional, and always shown before you choose them.

Do you charge VAT?

Amber Multi is not currently VAT-registered, so no VAT is added to your fees. If this changes it will be shown clearly before payment, and existing clients will be notified in advance.

What's included

What features come with the £250 website?

A professional, mobile-responsive business website: custom design for your brand, unlimited standard pages (subject to fair use), contact form delivered to your email, WhatsApp click-to-chat button, Google Maps embed, admin panel for editing your own content, blog section, basic SEO setup, newsletter signup, auto-generated template legal pages, GDPR-focused cookie banner, and 14-day delivery.

Is the admin panel included?

Yes. Every website includes an admin panel where you can log in and edit your blog posts, contact details, images, services, and selected site content yourself — from day one.

Is SEO included?

Basic SEO is included: page titles, meta descriptions, an XML sitemap, structured data, and clean URLs. Ongoing SEO marketing services are not included.

Can I have a blog?

Yes. Every site includes a blog section, and you write and publish posts yourself via the admin panel.

Will my site work on mobile?

Yes. Every Amber Multi site is fully responsive across phones, tablets, and desktops.

Do you provide the text for the site?

Amber Multi polishes and refines the content you provide. Rough notes, bullet points, or a few sentences per page are enough — you'll get professional, polished copy back. The accuracy of your business information remains your responsibility; the polish is ours.

What's NOT included

What features push my project beyond the £250 tier?

Online payments processed on your site, customer logins or user accounts, live booking calendars with real-time availability, customer dashboards or member portals, e-commerce with carts and checkout, custom databases, and real-time features. Any of these move your project into the Web App tier (from £1,500).

Can I have an online shop on the £250 website?

No — a full online shop is Web App territory. The £250 website can link out to an external shop you already run.

Can I have a live booking calendar?

Not on the £250 tier. What's included is a booking enquiry form — the request is emailed to you and you confirm manually.

If I want any of these, what happens?

You use the Book a Web App form instead — you see a fixed price live as you choose, and can usually pay and start straight away. Web Apps start from £1,500 with the essentials included; only very large or unusual builds get a tailored quote, within 5 working days.

The process

How does the whole process work?

Submit the intake form for the service you want; pay (Website) or wait for your quote (Web App / Custom Quote); receive confirmation with your expected delivery date; track progress in your client dashboard; receive your finished site with admin panel access; go live.

Will I have a meeting with anyone?

No. Amber Multi's process is built around written communication only — no phone calls, video calls, or in-person meetings. Everything is captured through the intake form and dashboard.

How long does the build take?

Websites: 14 days from completed intake and payment. Web Apps: typically 4–12 weeks, confirmed in your quote. Timelines start when we have everything we need — missing information pauses delivery dates.

What if I forget to add something during intake?

Use the 'Additional files' area in your dashboard. You can add content, images, or notes at any point before delivery.

How do I communicate with Amber Multi during the build?

Through your client dashboard — the single channel for project communication. Project notifications from us appear there as they happen.

Domains and email

Do I need to buy my own domain?

You have two options. Bring your own — register it at Namecheap or GoDaddy (about £10/year, ten minutes) and we send a step-by-step connection guide at delivery. Or choose our optional add-on at booking: we register your chosen domain and set up one professional mailbox for £40/year, fully managed. Either way, the domain legally belongs to you.

What does the £40/year add-on include?

Your chosen domain registered on your behalf, one professional mailbox (for example hello@yourbusiness.co.uk), and full setup and management by us. You are the legal owner and can transfer the domain to your own account at any time. Added to your payment when you book — no separate step — then renewing annually alongside your hosting, with a reminder each year and easy cancellation.

How do I connect my own domain to my site?

We send a step-by-step guide for adding the right DNS record at your registrar. It's one change in one settings page; the change usually takes effect within a few hours.

Do I need a custom email address for my contact form?

No. Your contact form delivers to whatever email you provide, including a personal Gmail or Outlook address. You can update it later via your admin panel.

Content, copy, and images

Do I need to write all my own copy?

No. Answer the intake questions in your own words — rough notes are enough. We refine, structure, and polish everything into professional copy.

Do I need to provide my own images?

You can, but you don't have to. Tick 'source stock imagery' and we select appropriate professional stock images — included in the £250 fee.

Can I use images from Google?

Almost never — most images on Google are copyrighted, and using them can result in legal claims. Use images you own or have rights to, or let us source stock imagery.

Do you create logos?

We create simple wordmark logos — your business name set cleanly in your brand colour. Full custom logo design is not included. You can also upload your own logo, or use no logo at all.

After delivery, hosting, and maintenance

What happens on delivery day?

Your dashboard status changes to Delivered and you receive your admin panel login details, a guide to connecting your domain, and a walkthrough of managing your content.

What can I edit through the admin panel?

Blog posts, contact details, images, services, and selected site content. Structural layout, underlying code, and third-party integrations are changed by Amber Multi as a paid request.

What if I want a new page or a redesign after delivery?

Minor adjustments are usually possible via the admin panel. New pages and major changes are quoted individually as paid requests through your dashboard.

Is hosting really mandatory?

Yes. Every Amber Multi site runs on our shared infrastructure and can't be self-hosted. That's what keeps a professionally hosted site at £50/year.

What happens if I cancel hosting?

Your site stays live until the end of your current paid period. Before hosting ends, you can export your content (text, images, blog posts) via the admin panel. After hosting ends, the site is taken offline.

What if my site breaks?

We maintain the underlying infrastructure — servers, security, updates, backups — as part of your hosting fee. Report any issue through your dashboard and we'll investigate.

Web apps specifically

What's the difference between a web app and a website?

A website tells people about your business. A web app is a tool people use — log in, take actions, see data, make payments. If your idea involves users doing something, you probably need a Web App.

Why is a web app so much more expensive?

Web Apps are bespoke products designed from scratch around your workflow. They take 4–12 weeks of build time and need more complex infrastructure.

How much does web app hosting cost?

Separate from the build fee. Take full handover (source code and documentation are yours, host it yourself) or choose a managed plan from £49/month.

Can I upgrade my website into a web app later?

Yes. Many businesses start with a standard website and upgrade as their needs grow.

Payments, refunds, and cancellations

How do I pay?

Through Stripe at the end of your intake form (Websites) or after accepting your quote (Web Apps and Custom Quotes). Visa, Mastercard, American Express and other major cards are accepted.

Is my payment secure?

Yes. All payments go through Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant. Amber Multi never sees or stores your card details.

Can I get a refund?

If you cancel before the build begins and within the consumer cooling-off period (where you have not waived it), a full refund of the build fee is available minus a £25 administrative fee reflecting payment processing costs. If you waived your cooling-off right at intake and the build has begun, no refund is available. Delivered projects are non-refundable. Hosting fees already paid are not refundable for the current period.

What if Amber Multi can't deliver my project?

If we determine after starting that delivery isn't possible as agreed, the build fee is refunded in full with an explanation.

Legal, ownership, and rights

Who owns my website after delivery?

You own the content of your website. Amber Multi owns the underlying code, templates, design system, and infrastructure. For Web Apps with full handover, source code ownership transfers to you on full payment.

Can I take my site to another developer?

The £250 website is built on shared infrastructure and is not portable — though your content always is, via export. If you want a fully-owned project, you need a Web App with full handover.

Is my site GDPR-compliant?

We include GDPR-focused basics: cookie banner and template Privacy, Terms, and Cookie pages. Full compliance depends on how your business collects and uses data beyond the site itself — review your data practices with appropriate legal guidance.

What about my customers' data?

Contact form submissions are delivered to your email; you are the data controller for your visitors' data and Amber Multi acts as processor. For Web Apps, data handling is detailed in your project documentation.
